This animated explainer was created for a Univision-sponsored World Cup event attended by major sponsors, former players and ambassadors of the sport.

The qualification process was too complicated to communicate through a few statistics on a presentation slide. I co-wrote the film with a collaborator who understood the system, ensuring that the explanation accurately covered the regional confederations, their available World Cup places and the playoff structure connecting them.

I then designed the artwork and developed a visual language based on player icons, regional colors and animated eliminations. This turned a dense international qualification structure into something the event audience could follow step by step.

I created the motion graphics and assembled the final edit, using animation to make an unfamiliar system feel clear, energetic and appropriate for the excitement surrounding the upcoming tournament.

The challenge was not simply explaining the rules—it was making the road to the World Cup visible.
