Risk is unavoidable when healthcare organizations move into new financial models—but understanding that risk is critical to making better decisions. This film explores how organizations can evaluate financial and operational exposure while balancing opportunity, sustainability and the needs of the patients they serve.
Risk is an abstract concept, and its conventional visual language—numbers, charts, markets and financial imagery—felt too detached from the human consequences of the decisions being made.
I approached the visuals by focusing instead on what risk feels like: uncertainty, difficult choices, vulnerability, trust and the need for guidance. Those ideas allowed me to create imagery that could communicate the weight of financial decision-making while remaining grounded in healthcare and the people ultimately affected by those decisions.
The result was a warmer, more human interpretation of risk—one that supported HRG’s financial expertise without losing sight of why managing that risk matters.
